gitolite3 software package provides SSH-based gatekeeper for git repositories (version 3), you can install in your Ubuntu 17.04 (Zesty Zapus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gitolite3
gitolite3 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gitolite3 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gitolite3 *
You will get with gitolite3 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
